    The Aztec Empire reached its peak in size and power under Ahuitzotl, the fifth emperor. He also finished the construction of the Great Temple of Tenochtitlan. The Great Temple consisted of a massive pyramid topped by two temples, one for Huitzilopochtli, the warrior god and representation of the sun, and the other for Tlaloc, the god of rain. Professor Smith has written several books about the central Mexican Indians, including The Aztecs and Aztec Imperial Strategies, which I have used as primary sources for this article. The growth of the Mexica Indians from newcomers and outcasts in the Valley of Mexico to the guardians of an extensive empire is the stuff that legends are made of.

      In other words, I would like to find out the reasons for the fall of the Aztec empire. A paper about the history, and especially the Ancient history, is a hard venture.
